MHAM Series: Journaling

  • Pilatesmith Santa Monica 2110 Main Street Santa Monica, CA, 90405 United States (map)

OVERVIEW

This workshop is part of our Mental Health Awareness Month series that highlights and helps give you access to tools that help you take care of your mental health. One of those tools is: Journaling.

Journaling helps you manage symptoms of an unhealthy mind and improve your mood by helping you identify feelings, thoughts, and triggers. Once identified, you can better recognize them and control them. It also helps you goal set and stay focused, which brings positive feelings and accomplishment.

In this session we’ll introduce you to journaling and then guide you through a journaling exercise. You’ll be given prompts designed to be thought-provoking and spark introspection. Once the journaling portion is done, we’ll end with a short and simple meditation that allows you time to reflect on your thoughts and discovery.

TESHA SMITH

Tesha Smith is a certified Meditation Teacher and has been helping others be well for over 7 years. She found meditation when she started experiencing feelings of anxiety and depression. She searched for ways to feel better and was able to heal herself with breathwork and sound, and as they say, the rest is history. Helping change a person’s sadness into happiness brings her so much joy, and using her gifts to change the frequency of the world - one person at a time - is what matters most to her.
