ABOUT PILATESMITH

Pilatesmith opened its doors in December 2018 and has quickly become one of the most popular Pilates studios on the westside. A "Pilatesmith" is someone who's skilled at Pilates, and the studio opened to serve those who are advanced in their practice by prioritizing advanced-level Group Workouts in the schedule. Group Workouts are taught with a fast, physical style we call "athletic Pilates" and are offered in 3 different formats so our Pilatesmiths (and Trainers!) always feel challenged. We also have a strong Privates business and have a separate room that allows us to see Privates at any time. Pilatesmith attracts a no-fuss clientele that wants to work hard, which makes for a positive and fun environment for the whole Team!

TRAINER

The Role

Pilatesmith is seeking a highly motivated, personable, and experienced Trainer to teach Private workouts and possibly take on Group Workouts as we expand! The ideal candidate would have experience teaching Private sessions, and enjoy developing customized routines that help clients achieve their goals and building trust with clients. The ideal candidate would also be comfortable working with a range of clients - those who are strong and mobile, those who have injuries, and those that are pre- or postnatal. If you have a bright personality, enjoy working with people, are curious about the body, and are willing to build relationships and build business, you’d be a great addition to our Trainer Team!

Requirements & Description

  • Holds a certificate of completion from a Pilates certification program with a +450-hour training curriculum

  • Minimum of 1 year experience programming and teaching sessions on a Pilates Reformer (experience with Balanced Body Exo Chair, Cadillac, TRX, and Bosu is a plus)

  • Carries Professional Liability Insurance policy (up to $1,000,000) and keeps policy up to date

  • Develops dynamic workouts that are appropriate for the workout format type, setting, and client

  • Instructs exercises effectively, paying attention to safety and risk factors, as well as modifying moves as needed

  • Ensures that equipment is used properly, keeps equipment clean and well maintained

  • Helps build and retain business

  • Understands Pilatesmith Workout Arch and applies it if teaching Group Workouts (training will be provided)

  • Provides a comfortable and positive environment for Pilatesmith Clients and maintains a professional and honest relationship with the Owner and other Team Members

  • Notifies Owner of any incidents or studio needs same-day

  • Is reliable and consistent

STUDIO ASSOCIATE

The Role

Pilatesmith is seeking a highly motivated and personable Studio Associate to help with client service and studio operations. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in a hospitality or sales role and enjoy interacting with people, have strong communication skills, is an independent thinker, and be able to prioritize and multi-task. If you have a bright personality and are a self-starter, you’ll be a great addition to our Team! 

Description & Requirements

  • Opens/closes the studio and manages Welcome Desk operations during the shift

  • Uses MindBody booking software for scheduling, purchasing, and schedule management (MindBody training provided)

  • Has strong communication skills, specifically communicating promptly, clearly, and professionally via email, phone, text, and in-person

  • Able to independently make decisions that allow for a high-level of customer service

  • Learns studio pricing, policies, procedures, and promotions and enforcing them

  • Sharing and selling services to prospective new clients to build business

  • Manages schedules, late cancels, and no-shows and applies appropriate fees

  • Keeps studio supplies stocked and the studio clean 

  • Accurately and completely fills out Shift Reports, uses checklists, maintains ops docs, and completes sidework

  • Notifies Owner of any incidents or studio needs same-day

  • Supports with various tasks that may arise 

  • Is reliable and consistent
